Nizamiye School Mayfair (formerly known as Sama Primary & High school) is one the educational establishments run by Fountain Educational Trust.
The school was established in 2003 in the heart of Johannesburg by a few Turkish businessmen and a team of dedicated educators. It is one of the educational institutions spread over around the world established by Hizmet Movement and inspired by worldly-renowned Turkish scholar M. Fethullah Gulen.
Starting with only a little number of learners, Nizamiye School Mayfair has become one of the most successful schools in the area by producing 100% Matric Pass Rate and University Endorsement, becoming South Africa’s top Science School in 2009 and 2010, continuously participating and winning a variety of medals in the most prestigious Regional, National and International Olympiads and Competitions, such as INEPO, IYIPO, Infomatrix, ESCOM Science Expo, SAASTA, SAASTE, Harmony Gold, De Beers, AMS Netball Tournament etc.
Nizamiye School Mayfair offers both academic and Islamic education from Grade R up to Grade 12. Lessons are presented by motivated and dedicated educators to relatively small classes in an atmosphere of structure and discipline. Besides the main learning areas, subjects such as Information Technology, Religion Studies, Urdu First Additional Language, Arabic Second Additional Language etc. are offered to the FET learners.
The school has Computer and Science Laboratories, Boarding Facilities for girls, Masjid, Playground and Jungle Gym on its premises. Currently the school has embarked on a project of developing its facilities by construction of new buildings that will be open for the use in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Nizamiye is also famous with its free-of-charge tuitions for most of the learning areas offered on Saturdays to its learners between 8.30-13.30.
